The Work Meeting at Cana

Michael Gove tells Andrew Neil that 'Christian forgiveness' is needed over partygate. I turn to my Bible to look for a relevant text.

On the third day there was a team bonding meeting at Cana in Galilee, and the wife of Boris was there. 2 Boris also was invited to the non-party with his crew. 3 When the wine ran out, the wife of Boris said to him, we have no wine." 4 And Boris said to her, "Woman, what does this have to do with me? I'm on the gin." 5 His wife said to the civil servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

6 Now there was a suitcase there for god alone knows what reason, holding twenty or thirty bottles 7 Boris said to the civil servants, "Go to the offie and fill the suitcase with bottles of plonk." And they filled it up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, "Now draw some out and take it to the team leader." So they took it. 9 When the team leader tasted the wine, and did not know where it came from (though the civil servants who had been to the Tesco Metro knew), the team leader called the special adviser 10 and said to him, "Everyone has the meeting first, and when people get bored, then the wine. But you have brought out the plonk at the beginning." 11 This, the first of his signs, Boris did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Chequers, with his wife and his dog and his child, and they stayed there for a few days.
